G-TEC Natural Gas Torch Boosters elevate standard utility natural gas pressure to 25-28 psi for Messer Alfa and Turbo Flame oxy-fuel torches

Messer cutting torches require a utility gas supply pressure between 25-28 psi. If you have a Messer cutting table and find your gas utility can't deliver the service pressure you need a G-TEC Torch Booster will do the job!

G-TEC Torch Boosters are installed right next to the cutting table without special site preparation such as dedicated ventilation. They are quiet, not like an air compressor, and are designed to run all day. Turn the Torch Booster ON at the start of the day and OFF after last shift and it automatically adjusts to the gas flow demand of  the torches.

Which G-TEC Torch Booster is the right choice for your cutting table?

G-TEC Torch Boosters are designed to be installed right in the area where you need high pressure natural gas and are placed between the low pressure utility gas pipe and your cutting table.

Turn the Torch Booster on when you are ready to cut and it automatically adjusts to supply exactly the right amount of high pressure gas. Torch Boosters are quiet, do not need any special site preparation for installation in any building in North America. G-TEC Torch Boosters are also CE Compliant for installation in Europe.

G-TEC Torch Boosters are available in both 208 VAC 60Hz and 230 VAC 50 Hz configurations.

Per Messer Cutting Systems torches cutting up to 4" thick material will use 60 cubic feet of natural gas per hour. Torches cutting material thicker than 4" will use 80 cubic feet of natural gas per hour.

TB-60 Torch Booster is the right system for a single torch cutting up to 4" thick material

TB-125 Torch Booster is the right system for a single torch cutting material thicker than 4", or 2 torches cutting material less than 4" thick.

TB-250 and TB-500 Natural Gas Torch Boosters.

TB-250 Torch Booster is the right system when you have up to 4 torches cutting material less than 4" thick or 3 torches when cutting material thicker than 4".

TB-500 Torch Booster is the right system when you have up to 8 torches cutting material less than 4" thick or 6 torches cutting material thicker than 4".

Does your plant run more than 2 shifts per day, is ambient temperature above 90F for extended periods of time, is downtime valued in the hundreds of dollars per minute? A Heavy Duty Torch Booster is the right G-TEC system for demanding operating environments.

A Heavy Duty Torch Booster adds a Cooler Module to a Standard Duty unit allowing the system to run around the clock and in hot buildings.

When turned off the Standard Duty Torch Booster begins a 3 hour cool down cycle that must complete before the unit can be restarted. The Cooler Module eliminates the three hour cool down cycle.

The Edison Welding Institute says...

Natural gas is an excellent fuel...it had less tendency to round the top edge of the cut and produced less slag or dross. Also, the dross that was produced did not adhere as tightly to the plate and was more easily removed. No difference was found in cutting speed between acetylene and natural gas.

Why is natural gas the best fuel for your cutting table?

For equal quality cutting performance natural gas is up to 90% less expensive than acetylene, propane/LPG or propylene.

When comparing the cost per 1000,000 BTUs for common industrial fuel gases, natural gas has a clear advantage.

People question whether natural gas will work well for cutting plate steel. Often this is because their only experience has been with low pressure natural gas using injector style torches.

When high pressure natural gas is available it cuts quickly and a G-TEC Torch Booster can elevate standard utility natural gas as high as 45 psi.

When we take a cylinder of high pressure natural gas to a customer location and let him try it with his own torches the most common reaction is, "I didn't know you could do that with natural gas!"

Natural gas itself is safer that any other fuel gas and a G-TEC Torch Booster eliminates cylinders and bulk tanks of fuel gas from your plant because it is connected right to the utility gas pipe.

G-TEC Torch Boosters do not store any gas - they boost pressure and supply gas to the cutting table as it is used.

Moving and changing propane and acetylene cylinders increases the chance of an accident by mishap or simple poor cylinder handling practice. Bulk tanks store a lot of energy and can contribute to making an accident even worse.

The Fire Marshal will like you better and your insurance company may reduce your rates when you remove stored gas from your property!
