TB-250 Torch Booster

TB-250 and TB-500 Torch Boosters are high volume, high pressure systems designed

to supply many torches simultaneously. TB-250 can run up to 6 typical brazing

or cutting torches and TB-500 can run up to 12 common brazing or cutting torches.

Customers can install 2 or more units on a common manifold to supply more than

12 torches. Customers using Messer-MG cutting tables with Alpha torches should

call G-TEC at 1-800-451-8294 to discuss their torch gas consumption requirements.

TB-250 and TB-500 Torch Boosters are the ideal gas supply for cutting tables, large

shop manifolds and torches used for pre-weld heating. They provide large volumes of

gas without concern for a 15 psi pressure limit, withdrawal rates, valve icing and

other common problems.

A Torch Booster is easy to use...just turn it on and get all the gas you need. When

your torch is not lit the Torch Booster automatically goes into recirculation mode.

They are designed to be left running for short periods when torches are not being

used and do not require operator attention as torches are turned on and off.

TB-250 and TB-500 Torch Boosters elevate gas pressure as high as 45 psi although

higher pressures are possible by special order. Please call G-TEC if you require

pressure higher than 45 psi. Flow volumes are 250 scfh for TB-250 and 500 scfh for

TB-500.

If your production cycle is around the clock, your work area temperature exceeds 90F,

or you are using gas at pressure higher than 60 psi you should consider the

TB-250C/TB-500C or TB-250H/TB-500H Systems that incorporate a compressor

cooling system. Click here for more information about High Capacity

Torch Boosters.

Both systems measure 28” W x 24” D x 20” T; TB-250 weighs 175 lbs. and TB-500

weighs 285 lbs. In North America electrical requirements are 208V, 60Hz, 30 amp

service; in Europe 230V, 50Hz, 30 amp service. Gas supply should be between ¼ to

5 psi and delivered in a 1 1/2” pipe which connected directly to the Torch Booster.

TB-250 and TB-500 Torch Boosters are Certified by CSA International, CE Compliant

and are permitted in buildings that prohibit gases in cylinders, such as acetylene

and propane.
